Kalimo is committed to making its website and digital services accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities, in accordance with Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, the Accessibility Regulations for Services, and Israeli Standard SI 5568 (based on WCAG 2.0 Level AA with national adaptations).
We aim to provide a clear, comfortable, and equitable experience on the website and in the Al-Jamal app.
1. Scope
This statement applies to Kalimo’s public website (the brand site for Al-Jamal). The mobile app is made accessible separately according to each operating system’s assistive technologies.
2. Conformance target
We strive to meet Level AA of SI 5568 / WCAG 2.1 where technologically and reasonably practicable.
- Floating accessibility toolbar (OpenNagish) with display, navigation, and reading aids
- Keyboard navigation and common screen-reader support
- Skip-to-content link on every page
- Heading structure and basic ARIA landmarks
- Preference persistence via localStorage
3. Accessibility tools on this site
An accessibility button appears at the bottom-left of the site. It opens a toolbar that includes, among other features:
- Font size controls
- High contrast, dark mode, and color invert
- Grayscale and saturation controls
- Text spacing and dyslexia-friendly font
- Link highlighting and hide images
- Reading guide, line focus, and big cursor
- Stop animations and mute sounds
- Text-to-speech (hover / selection / page)
- Heading map and page structure
The toolbar UI supports Hebrew, English, Arabic, and Russian.
